Femme Fatale - An attractive and seductive woman, especially one who plays one man off against another in pursuit of money, ultimately causing distress to any man who becomes involved with her.
Johnny Mathew is a simple auto mechanic with an unassuming dream. He wants to see the United Sates the way it was meant to be seen: through the windshield of a car. To finance his road trip, he takes a second job collecting debts for “the Boss” and quickly discovers the job is not something to which he’s well suited, especially after he meets the seductive Madison Bennett.
Madison wants out of a loveless marriage with as much money as possible. With an eye on the cash her wealthy husband owes the Boss, she manipulates an unknowing Johnny, along with her boyfriend Brad Miller, into a scheme to steal the money and top up her bank account.
Brad has known Madison long enough to suspect she isn’t playing fair. He isn’t going to let her take advantage of him. A gun enthusiast with anger issues, he jealously mistakes Johnny as a competitor for Madison’s affections and decides to teach the quirky young man a vicious lesson, and make himself wealthy in the process.
The only person who doesn’t know a scam is unfolding is Johnny. If he manages to see what’s happening in time, he might escape unscathed and make his road trip dreams come true. It’s a great deal to ask but simple doesn’t mean stupid and people have underestimated Johnny his entire life.
